This weekend my husband and I had the pleasure of enjoying The Chocolate Spa Sampler at The Hotel Hershey. I've been wanting to try some of their chocolate spa services forever! And, yes, today I had the whipped cocoa bath, chocolate bean polish, and a delicious cocoa massage.
After arrival, we changed our clothes and donned comfortable robes and slippers. Being our first spa experience, we debated the issue of naked or underwear under the robe. Naked eventually won.
We entered "The Quiet Room" to wait to be called for services. Do you know how strange it is to walk, naked, covered only in a robe, into a room filled with other naked, robe-covered individuals? People drinking coffee from white, porcelain cups and munching chocolate peanut butter muffins. And since it was the Quiet Room, everyone spoke in hushed voices.
A few rules need to be applied when interacting with almost naked people. Men should not sit with their legs apart. It is very easy for little Johnny to peek out and say hello. And women need to be aware of the robe droopage. Hubby got an eyeful of one amply blessed lady.
The treatments were amazing. I almost felt like my body was slowly becoming a separate entity during the massage. And the chocolate lotion had an incredible scent. I loved everything about the day. My husband liked it too, but he said the most fun was seeing how happy I was enjoying the experience. What a great Valentine's Day!
